If you’ve ever wondered about the woman behind the words in the Moon Phase Studios lunar blogs - here’s a little bit about me:
Before my journey as an astrologer began, I’d worked one-to-one with clients for many years as a holistic therapist, offering treatments such as massage, reiki and aromatherapy. I’d had a strong interest in astrology from an early age, but it wasn’t until I spent some years managing the symptoms of post-viral chronic fatigue syndrome (in my 30s) that I noticed a correlation with my own energy levels at different points in the lunar cycle. I then began to look at the lunar connection to intuition, emotion and the divine feminine, and so began a deep personal interest in working with the Moon. After studying for a diploma in moon magic and a certification in Moonology, sharing this with others became my focus.
However, I was still astrocurious! I wanted to dive deeper and went on to complete a period of training in Hellenistic Astrology (ancient astrology) over three years, building a professional practice in 2022. Learning this beautiful, ancient craft continues to be a fascinating journey, and one which has been quite honestly life changing on a personal and professional level.
As a practitioner, I’ve got my feet both firmly on the ground and my eyes on the cosmos! I love weaving my skills as a holistic therapist and living in tune with nature’s cycles with the practice of Hellenistic astrology. This is reflected in my style of astro mentoring - grounded but always open to what treasures the universe is ready to reveal to us.
When I don’t have my head in the stars, I love being by the sea, visiting crumbling old mansions and reading. When I write my blogs and read charts, I am usually accompanied a hot cuppa and my big fluffball cat, Chester, curled up by my side, who must almost be as fluent in sky language as me by now!
I truly believe that astrology can provide us with perspective, connection to cosmos and insight, and I hope to keep sharing this magical craft for many Moons to come.
